Meditation

Yoga is so much more than practicing poses–the physicality of yoga is a small portion of the practice itself. Meditation is where you cultivate an intimate connection and do your most profound healing. It can mitigate symptoms of anxiety and depression and heal our nervous system. It’s where you develop insight, clarity and get to know yourself. Yoga is steeped in the tradition of meditation and integrating it into your life can be transformative.

Yoga Nidra

One of the most important and simple practices I have found is Yoga Nidra. It is a journey of effortless awareness back to our true nature. Here we move beyond the thinking mind and physical body to connect and remember our highest Self. Yoga Nidra is considered the highest practice of self-care for body, mind and spirit.

Heather has studied and practiced many forms of meditation:

  • Mantra
  • Kriya
  • Visualization
  • Mindfulness
  • Metta
  • Vipassana
Heather is trained and certified to teach in the Sri Vidya & the Himalayan Tradition. This is a broad-minded approach to spirituality which is based in the philosophy that tells us our body, mind, senses and the universe are designed on exactly the same pattern. It is in this tradition where we discover, or remember our true, essential nature.
