I was someone whom I considered a “crisis meditator;” meditating only when things were getting pretty scary or out of control in my life. It wasn’t until 2012, that I made the commitment to myself to sit/lay down every day. Honestly, some days it was for 3 minutes. But I haven’t skipped a day. Think of meditation as a new, non-negotiable habit. It takes consistent repetition to create a new routine in your life. I like to think of meditation as an ‘art of getting to know and accept myself.’
